Well it's been a few days again! I went into school again on Thursday and we managed to get all our paper work done relatively quickly. We also had a good tidy up session of the exams store cupboard. I did the usual house work stuff in the afternoon. Thursday evening I saw my friend Eddy for a drink as he was off to Thailand for a month. Lucky person! I have since had an email from him to say he has arrived safe and sound. Given the various scrapes and mishaps that have occurred on his previous visits this should qualify as a miracle! With any luck Ed, you'll make it safely home in one piece!
On Friday I had a day at home doing house work, as per usual. I can't even remember now why I was too busy to blog! On Saturday we decided it was time to finally sort out what we were going to do about our Easter holiday.
We considered various options. Tenerife was high on our list as we love it there and it would be hot! However the Saturday before Easter Sunday is the busiest day of the year at the airports and we didn't much fancy the chaos! We also considered the Isles of Scilly but they had very limited availability for the helicopter flights.
After much debating we settled on the Isle of Man which we have never visited before. It won't be hot but it does have lots of beautiful scenery and lots of places to visit so we should find plenty to do. We have booked a very nice 4 star Hilton hotel which has an indoor pool and sauna etc... so I will be able to swim each day, which I like to do on holiday. It also has a casino which may be fun!
Hopefully we may even be lucky and get some decent weather. As we are taking our car across, I won't be restricted on luggage, so at least I can take clothes for every eventuality! A bikini and wellies and rain coat! Actually that is the only thing bothering me about this holiday........ we are not flying we are going across on the ferry. It is two and a half hours from Liverpool across to Douglas!!
Now those that know me will be aware that I don't " do boats"! I am already apprehensive!!! Still at least we have got it sorted now and all booked. It may be the last time we can get away together this year as Coralie, our dog sitter will be busy with "BOB".
On Sunday both Simon and I went up to see my Mum and Dad. My sister is on holiday at the moment and it is very difficult for Dad to get to the hospital on a Sunday as the "dial a ride" system doesn't run and the buses are few and far between. Dad was really glad of the lift as he is suffering really badly with his leg. He has appointment today for X-rays. Mum was a bit difficult yesterday and hard work.
When we got back from Stevenage last night Simon had 3 job applications to get filled in and I had 3 application letters and CV's to prepare for him so it was a very busy evening. Today I have been out and about first thing taking 2 of the applications to the schools as the closing date was today. I am going to take the 3rd one for him tomorrow. Wish him luck again please as he really does want to leave the Voyager.
On my way back from running these errands I stopped off to see if I could get myself some new jeans. I ended up not only getting some jeans, but a top and a couple of bras for myself, plus a beautiful little dress with matching cropped cardigan for Ellie. I also got her some baby Gro's as I know she was starting to grow out of the ones she has. I got a pack of 3, in size 9-12 months and also a pack in size 6-9 months as the 9-12 looked way to big. When I got them home I realised that actually even the 6-9 months ones look absolutely huge too! So I now have 6 baby Gro's which are all too big!! She is still really quite petite. I suppose she will grow into them.
Since I got home I have put on some washing and had some coffee while entering some online competitions. Remember, I am convinced that the BIG WIN is on it's way!! Now it is time to get myself in gear and do some house work. I have ironing and hoovering waiting for me, not to mention quite a bit of other tidying up. I think I might work my half hour system as I am quite tired still today and not feeling up to much. I also want to alter my new jeans as they are too long.
