Oh my goodness, two days have gone by already and it is nearly Wednesday. I have been busy the last few days and not had time to blog.
Yesterday, I did my normal housework and then Coralie came round, so we sat and had a chat. Then it was time to get myself ready as I was in school in the afternoon. I was invigilating 35 children doing maths re-sits. It wasn't too bad, although the fire alarm went off just as I was reading the regulations out, so we had to start all over again. It was a false alarm, but it took a while for them to figure that out, so we had collected in all the exam papers in preparation, in case we had to evacuate, but we didn't.
Some of the children that have come from other schools don't seem to know how to behave in exams, so we had to lay the law down quite firmly. After that all went well and I was finished by 4pm. I had to go back out at 5pm to collect Simon though, which is a real pain. I spent the evening catching up on some paper work.
Today, I did more house work and Coralie came over at half ten. We had a chat while I did some ironing and then we went to the library. I have 10 new books waiting to be read! Unfortunately, a book that I had ordered before I went on holiday had been sent back because I hadn't collected it. It was "My Sisters Keeper", by Jodi Piccoult and I was supposed to have read it ages ago for my "Purple Wearers" group. Whoops! I think we are on to the next one now! I did get another book by her though, to try. The reviews of "My Sisters Keeper" that the other Purple Wearers had written were good, so I thought I would give her a go.
After the library we popped in Sainsburys as I needed to get some vegetables for dinner. I made a Shepherds pie this afternoon, which only I really ate. Josh ate a small portion with no veg and Simon ate two mouthfuls and said he would have it later as he has a headache. This evening, I have watched Eastenders which was a bit violent for my tastes. I have entered lots of competitions, both on-line and post card ones. I posted some off today too. Hopefully, I will be lucky. I haven't won anything since my bread maker, which I am still waiting to be delivered. I am going to enter some more later.
I had a good time yesterday evening too, learning a bit more about Multiply. I joined a couple of groups which were very informative. I also found out that I need to change every ones relationship status to "on-line buddy" to stop all the email updates from their friends coming through to me. I have found that very annoying. Apparently, it doesn't happen if you put people as "on-line buddy". I shall do that later.
I also went through and deleted all the comments that had graphics with them. I hope nobody thought I was being funny about them! The trouble is, pretty as they are, some of them are large and they make your comments section huge, which in turn increases the width of the page, meaning you have to scroll across to see everything. I find that really annoying. I have requested that nobody sends me comments with graphics attached now. It's a pain having to delete them.
Well, that's my exciting life to date!! I am going to try and get my Tuesday 13 blog done and then hopefully I will have time for some more competitions.
