Half way through May already and going towards half way through the year. I know I keep saying this, but where does all the time go?
Yesterday I went to Stevenage to see my Dad and then to go with him to the hospital to see my Mum. It wasn't too bad as these visits go, but I didn't really feel well yesterday and we stayed for 3 hours which is just way too long. I find it very difficult. Mum becomes agitated after about an hour. We have tried to get my Dad to see that it would be better if he went for a shorter time, but he doesn't want to know.
I get very stressed by these visits and wish I could just go for an hour as my sister does. The trouble is, because I live further away, I always go with my Dad and I have to stay for the same length of time as him. I hate going, but what do I do? She is my Mum , I can't not go.
I woke up this morning feeling like I had when I went to bed, tired, head achey, shaky and generally all over achey. It's probably nothing specific, just stress. As I haven't felt up to much I have had an easy day. I cleaned the kitchen and have done the washing although I haven't got round to ironing anything yet. I am going to leave the hoovering for today, so tomorrow we will be buried under mounds of dog hair!
I have spent quite a while just reading my book, entering a few competitions and doing a birthday blog for Simon. He is 53 today! It's a school day so we won't really do anything tonight. I expect we will get a take away as I haven't manged to motivate myself and sort out anything for dinner! We are having a birthday celebration meal for everyone on Sunday.
It was going to be a barbecue, but that is now off as the weather here has taken a turn for the worse! Gone are the sunny skies, in comes the rain and cold. I have had to put the heating on this afternoon as I got so chilly. It has poured with rain all day. The rain hasn't deterred the squirrels though!
I was sitting here typing away when I became aware of a strange scratching sound, I ignored it for a while but then curiosity go the better of me, so I got up to look out of the window. There was a squirrel frantically digging in my pots! Fortunately they are pots that are still waiting to be planted up. He was obviously looking of his stash.
Last year when we planted up the pots at the beginning of the summer, we found them full of assorted nuts and acorns! Anyway, while I was watching it went up the tree and then jumped across on to the feeder with the fat balls.
I had thought that the feeders were going down but hadn't seen squirrels on them this week. This particular feeder hasn't had tube threaded on it yet as Connie's husband JT advised me; but as my garden is so small it's probably not going to make a difference anyway as where ever I put it he'll jump across. I can't believe it.
I took 2 photos and 2 little bits of video. They aren't that good as I took them out of my bedroom window and I live in a 3 story house! It is also pouring with rain!!

The other squirrel video is in my videos. They aren't great so I will try and get some more another day. Right that is about all for now. I am going to make myself some coffee and then I am going to read a bit more of my book until Simon gets in. It is by Fiona Gibson and is called "Mummy said the F word". It's very funny.
