Entry for 24 November 2006 (copy)

 Hope that everyone has had a good Friday. I have been to Stevenage today to visit my parents. It wasn't too bad today and I had Coralie with me which always makes it easier.  My mum had a realively good day and we even managed to get her out to the local shops for a pint of milk which is a real achievment. Unfortunately it started to rain right after we left and she is a nightmare in the rain. 

Anyway, after much fighting my sister and I have managed to get an appointment with her nurse at the mental health unit in Stevenage for Monday morning. We are hoping that they will be able to offer us some help and advice with how best to help not just my mum but my dad as well. My mum has deteriorted rapidly ovver the last few weeks. (She has Alzeheimers for any of my friends who don't know).
Alzeheimers is the most distressing thing I know that can happen to you. It affects the entire family. She hasn't been my mum for years and that is imposssible to describe to you.  I don't know what else to say.  I always get really upset when I get back home.
