How can it be Saturday already? That's another week gone. It seems strange that this time last week we were still anxiously waiting and now little Bob is actually here and already four and a half days old.
Coralie is now home from hospital and beginning to settle into her new family life. They had a day to themselves yesterday with no visitors at all. They wanted to be just their little family. She did however ring me twice. The first time was to ask if I thought that Evans eyes would be OK in the sun!
He has a bit of jaundice so she was sitting in the garden with him.......... in full sunshine and she was worried about his eyes! When I said forget his eyes what about his skin, he'll turn from yellow to red! Coralie said "is it not a good idea then"!!! We think she left her brain in the hospital!! LOL.
The second phone call was a request for a hot water bottle. This wasn't for Coralie's use as I first imagined. It was to wrap up and put in the cot for Evan. No he wasn't cold!! He was crying every time they tried to put him in there. It seems he prefers to be curled up on Mummys tummy where it is nice and warm. They thought maybe they could trick him if they laid him near the hot water bottle! I am being a non interfering Nanny...... I didn't say a word, just handed over a hot water bottle.

This is the card that I embroidered for Evan.
His big farm yard embroidery is no where near finished!!
Verity came home Thursday evening and promptly went straight out with some friends so I didn't actually see her until yesterday morning. We spent the morning catching up and looking at each others photos and talking about her school where she will begin in September. She is very excited.
In the afternoon Sam collected her on his way home from work so she went to his house to see Lisa and Ellie. I got a bit of house work done and entered some online competitions. When Sam fetched Verity home he had Lisa and Ellie with him, so I was able to have a bit of time with Ellie too. She is just so cute!
Sam sorted out the new stair gate for me as Simon has been too busy to do it. He is busy with exam marking and moderating. He only has about ten more days before it all has to be finished. This is always an intense time for him. Hopefully later today he will get time to fit the new kitchen blinds. The front blind is broken and I can't bare the fact that any passer by can see into my house
At the moment Simon is at his barn. He went early this morning as he has some man coming to look at his truck. I'm not sure why, something that he hasn't been able to work out himself I think. I'm not really that impressed, we get little enough time together as it is, without him disappearing first thing on a Saturday morning.
When he finally returns, I will be able to take Verity over to Coralie to see her new nephew. verity can't wait, she is the only one of us who hasn't seen him so far. I think the rest of the day will be playing catch up on house work. Verity is staying until Tuesday and I think we may end up with most of the family here for dinner tomorrow.
Next week will be another busy one. I am having Ellie all day on Tuesday and I have my doctors appointment at 5pm on Tuesday as well. Then on Wednesday we have to take Saskia to Bedford University for an audition. Thursday I am having my hair done. In between I will no doubt have to go to Coralie as John will be back at work. Coralie won't be able to drive for 6 weeks because of the cesarean section. Does it ever stop being busy? Hope everyone has a good weekend; back soon!!
