Sunday 17th of June 2007 is Fathers Day.
I want to wish a very Happy Fathers Day to 3 very special people. Firstly, to Simon, who has been the best Father ever, to our 5 children and deserves to have a lovely day. Not sure that his day is going quite as he would've liked! I think he would have liked to have spent all day in his barn. Instead, he has walked the dogs, then gone with me to finally exchange Verity's curtains and he is now working in the garden cutting up slabs to finish the new patio. Later on he has exam papers to mark. Saskia is cooking a special meal for him though and Sam and Lisa are coming over with baby Ellie.
That brings me on to the second person, who is Sam. Have a very Happy First Fathers Day, Sam! I know that Sam is going to be a brilliant Dad to Ellie. The third person is of course my own Dad, who has been a wonderful Dad and I love and respect him so much. I hope that he has a good day today with my Mum.
Finally to any other Dads who may read this, I wish you a wonderful day too.
