Fingers crossed this morning, I seem to be much better. My neck is a bit stiff and still slightly painful if I turn it too quickly or too much, but it is way better than yesterday. I had a very long hot bath yesterday which seemed to help and used my wheat bag. I have no grand babies to carry around today so that should help too!
I have a lot to get done this morning as I am going to school this afternoon for the rescheduled meeting regarding my friend Eddy and his grievance case against the school. So this morning I am trying to use my half hour system as I don't want to over do it. I have already done the kitchen and bathroom. I have some ironing to do and hoovering, plus I need to do my banking which takes a while but I could do that tonight.
After this meeting, I have to get 2 buses home. The first one stops in town so I am meeting Coralie and I am going to try and grab a few Christmas presents. She is then going to come home on the bus with me, so I'll have a little while with baby Evan. I am going to walk over to school with Eddy and this time I shall remember to do it in my trainers and take my high heels with me! I got big blisters last time.
Had to add a countdown clock here just so you all know how long until the big day. I don't want anyone to forget!
At the moment I am just having my morning coffee, well one of my morning coffees! So I am going to join in with Friday Five this week. It's a good topic.......name 5 of your favourite kitchen gadgets or if you don't have any, then 5 that you would like. I have done 3 that I have and 2 that I would like. Here goes....
1. My Italian stove top coffee pot. I love my coffee. I drink it anyway it comes but I do like "proper" coffee made fresh. It is an 8 cup size pot,but that refers to the tiny espresso cups. I find it makes 2 good mugfuls! Take a look at it, I have had it for years. Do you see the handle? One of my dogs once took a fancy to it and I found it in the dog box with a chewed up handle, but it is fine otherwise!! LOL.
2. My garlic press. Chopping up garlic is a pain. We use lots of garlic so my press is invaluable.
3. My wire wall rack which has space for pans and utensils. I have a lot of utensils that hang there and it is great that they are right to hand next to the cooker.
4. Now for something that I covert.... A Kenwood Titanium mixer. It's £400! I will get this soon. Simon keeps saying why don't you just go and buy it, but It would be nice if he just took the hint and came home with it one day.
5. Something else that I would like is a mezzaluna. I have blogged about this before. It is a chopping instrument consisting of a single or double curved blade with a handle on each end. It is used for chopping herbs.
Ther you go then! Time to do sme jobs.
