Still feeling sorry for myself.

Yesterday I drove up to Stevanage with Coralie and Evan to see my Dad and my Mum.  Mum wasn't too bad but the visit was not an enjoyable one for various reasons.  Dad didn't seem to be interested in his baby great grandson at all.  This is quite upsetting when he focuses on my Mum to the exclusion of the rest of us.

He was going on and on about various things and I had a headache within half an hour.  My neck was quite a lot better yesterday although my shoulder was also aching. All in all by the time I had driven home I was quite wiped out.  I got the dinner prepared and then went to bed with my headache.

This morning, I am headache free but my neck was bad again when I woke up. Over the day it seems to be getting progressively worse so I am feeling miserable now and quite sorry for myself again.  My left knee is also aching quite badly; not sure what that is about.  Maybe I am just getting old.  That thought makes me feel even sorrier for myself.

I did have a nice few hours with Ellie this morning.  I was supposed to have had her all day but Lisa's training course was cancelled.  Lisa brought her over for a few hours anyway.  Lisa popped out to get a new hoover while Ellie and I played. They stayed and had lunch which was nice.  I haven't yet gathered the energy to tidy away all the toys.  I think I am going to start getting her to help put them away before she goes home. She is quite good at tidying up when you tell her.  She has actually got quite a nasty cold at the moment, but she was still very good.

Coralie phoned a while ago to say that Evan had just had his last lot of injections and while she was there she had him weighed.  He weighs 18lb!!!!  At 4 months he isn't far of what Ellie weighs!  Maybe my neck and shoulder are hurting again as I walked up and down for quite a while yesterday with Evan in my arms.  I have also picked up and carried Ellie loads of times today.  On the other hand maybe it's too much time on the computer.  It is the right side of my neck and I am right handed.  I don't know what caused it in the first place though.

I'm going to go and attempt a tidy up now and then do something about dinner which needs to be early as Simon is going out to his barn tonight.  I may come back later if my neck is easier.
