Get me to the church on time

Then finally it was time!  We all went downstairs leaving Simon with Verity for those few father and daughter moments!  Then they came down and there were lots of oohs and ahhs.  She looked wonderful.  Fortunately as we stepped out of the hall for the walk to the church the sun was shining. As the church is just across the road verity had decided that she would not have a car and that we would all walk.  Steve had the car to bring him and Curtis in from Cambridge instead.
The wedding car which got Steve and Curtis safely from Cambridge to Willingham.
Steve and his Dad
Steve and his best man Curtis.
All the men!  Joshua was an usher and he is second left between Curtis and Steve.
My family L to R: My sister Julie, Simon (Carlys fiance), my niece Carly, My Dad, my nephew Ben and my sisters husband Pete.
I took the lead with the bridesmaids behind me and then Simon and Verity at the back.  We did end up in a bit of a huddle.  The photographer took photos as we walked as well as outside the church before I went in.  Joshua was one of the ushers and it was his job to take my arm and lead me to my seat at the front next to my Dad.
The bride’s mother is the last to enter before the bridal party. Unbeknown to me all cameras were trained on me....... waiting..... And yes, click, click, click!  Why? Because there is grating in the floor of the church and they were all waiting (and hoping) to see if I would get my shoe stuck in it and fall over!  Apparently a number of the ladies had done this before me so they knew about it.  Of course rather than warning me they all thought it would be funny to see if I got caught out too.  And of course I did! Yes my heel went in and I nearly went over.  Good job Josh was hanging on to me!
The album to go with this is coming soon. It has photos of the inside of the church and lots of wedding guests.
