Early on the morning of the wedding

Saturday began early.  I had my hair appointment at 8am.  I had to make sure that everything we needed was in the car before I went.  While I was gone Simon put the ribbons on our car and then went to pick up Coralie who was coming with us because she had a hair appointment at 10am and John was going to come later with the boys.  They picked me up from the hairdressers and we drove to Willingham.  There was a bit of rain but not too much. We were really crossing out fingers at that point!
We dropped Coralie at the hairdressers where Verity, Lisa, Saskia, and Laura were all ready in the chairs being done!  Simon went on to the hall to meet Sam so we could get started on the bunting.  Of course I didn’t really do any of that work!  Ellie and I just supervised!  It was actually quite entertaining with Sam climbing up very slippery wet trees and getting in quite a tangle.  They got it all done though and it looked wonderful.
By that time Lisa was back and it was time to go inside and to begin to think about getting ready.  Simon and I were sharing Sam and Lisa’s room so that was a bit manic.  Ellie was as good as gold but dying to get her dress on.
Once everyone was back from the hairdresser.  I joined my girls in the bride’s bedroom for drinks whilst they were all doing their makeup.  We were also joined at various times by Lisa, Simon, Sam and of course Ellie.
Soon it was time to begin getting into our clothes.  I got myself dressed before returning to verity’s room to assist in getting her into her dress!  No small feat I can tell you!  Have you ever tried lacing up one of those dresses!  As they had booked a photographer who works in a “candid story book” style he was also in the room at the time!  It was getting hot and crowded in there!  He even had Ellie jumping up and down on the bed!
Ok, so Dads arrived which means it is time for everyone else to clear out of the room and leave them to have a few moments before the walk to the church.
