Half way through my week

Photobucket
It's Wednesday and half way through the week.  I feel a bit "mizzy" today.  I didn't sleep well last night, I had a whole lot of stuff going round in my head.  I seem to have so many things to worry about and that gets me down.  I know I shouldn't feel like that as I have an easy life compared to many people and my problems also are solvable and not mega.  I am aware that others have really awful things to deal with.
Our plans got changed yesterday, so we didn't do the shopping as planned as Simon went to his barn.  We are going to do it tonight instead and then afterwards I am going for a drink with my friend Eddy, who turns 41 today!
The weather forecast last night said that today was going to be a bit better.  Supposedly about 18 degrees with some sunshine and no rain.  They said to enjoy it as the rain comes back again, tomorrow!  So far today we have had no rain, but it is very grey and windy, with a few seconds every now and again of the sun!  I decided I had best make use of the dry day.
I have been in the garden for a few hours.  I picked some more tomatoes and dead headed all my flowers.  The tomatoes aren't really ripening any more.  I may have to have a go at Connies green tomato relish.  I think our mistake with the tomatoes was in putting 3 in each pot.  We will know better next year.
I have scrubbed down all the garden furniture and then hosed it all off. At the moment I have left it outside in the hope that it will dry.  This evening we will bring it all back inside until next year.  That makes me feel quite sad.  We were going to do this the other day, but decided to hang on in case we got some last minute good weather, but I don't think that is going to happen now.  The thing is, you need a good dry day to get it all cleaned, and if you leave it too long there won't be any dry days!
It's horrid when the furniture all goes away......summer has really gone now.  I can't wait for next spring when we can get it all out again and have the anticipation of long hot sunny days.  This year was really horrid, we only had one barbecue and only sat out in the evening a couple of times.  We never got round to using the big out door candles that we bought.  Next summer had better make up for it!  I HATE WINTER!  HATE BEING COLD.
I am hoping that we can find time on Saturday to go to the garden center.  I want to buy some winter pansies to put in my hanging baskets now that everything is dying off.  I had a few last year and they were really pretty.  I may take some of my geraniums and put them in little pots to bring inside, that way maybe they won't die and can be replanted outside next spring.
I need to find out how to cut back some of my shrub type plants as we didn't really do that last year and they are straggly.  I also need to find out how to remove the green algae type stuff that has appeared on some of my patio slabs.  I did try blasting it with the hose, but it didn't work.  lastly, I need  a gun to shoot those pesky, horrid squirrels that are attacking everything!  They have ruined yet another bird feeder, that was supposedly squirrel proof.  They don't even run away from me any more, just shoot up into a tree and look at me!
Apart from cleaning the garden furniture, I have cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and done some washing.  I have ironing to do in a little while.  I also went round the kitchen ceiling with the feather duster, which is very good for me..... I don't do dusting!  I have also done some online banking, so I have been busy.
Last night, I spent quite a while browsing around some new web sites and got lots of inspiration. I like to click on the Thursday Thirteen official page and then click on the links.  I find loads of interesting pages this way.  A great many people use daily "Memes" and I found lots of new ones that I may try out.  EG: Manic Monday, Monday - Give me 5, Monday Midnight Musings, Tuesday Pet Peeve, Tuesday ten on,  Tackle it Tuesday,  3 word Wednesday, Wednesday Lensday, I want Wednesday, Saturday 9, Sunday randomness and sky watch!
Have you ever wondered where and what the word "Meme" actually means?  I did, so I checked it out!
meme consists of any idea or behavior that can pass from one person to another by learning or imitation. Examples include thoughts, ideas, theories, gestures, practices, fashions, habits, songs, and dances. Memes propagate themselves and can move through the cultural sociosphere in a manner similar to the contagious behavior of a virus.
Now you know!  Or don't know..... that explanation is some what confusing!    Have a look at the http://thedailymeme.com for a further explanation and some good ideas.
I have decided to do the "I Want wednesday".
Photobucket
How’s it work?  Every Wednesday at the top of your page write “I WANT” Now, list everything you want.  It doesn’t have to be serious.  You can want WHATEVER you want.
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Visit the “I Want….” Wednesday post every Wednesday on Yummydown.com and leave your link in the Mr. Linky and a comment in the comments section!
So......... I want to sit in the sun in 30degrees and read my book.  I want all the house work to be done.  I want someone to do the shopping for me.  I want a fresh cream eclair and a latte. I want my own cleaner and personal maid!!!
Right!  Time to get back to the housework!
