With the certificate completed and safely in Simons pocket it was time to turn around and to the traditional music begin the triumphal walk back down the aisle as husband and wife. Followed of course by the bridesmaids, best man and parents.
The sun was still shining as they came out of the church and the rain held off long enough for them to get some photos and for the confetti to be thrown. Then they hopped into the car for a drive around the village to allow everyone else time to walk back to Willingham hall. Of course the rain began then and we had to shelter under umbrellas. It didn’t last long though and had stopped by the time that Verity and Steve arrived at the hall for their reception.
