Monday is here again and of course it is nearly the end of the month. That is one twelfth of the year nearly gone already. I don’t know why the time goes so fast. I do know that I need at least 48 hours in each of my days. I need more time!!!
Actually I suppose it wouldn’t really make any difference how many hours we had in each day it would still be the same amount of time wouldn’t it? Time is an abstract concept and doesn’t really exist in the way that we think. It is just a measurement. I saw an interesting programme about this recently.
This post is staring out pretty much the way last Mondays one started; you know the one that disappeared into the blogosphere never to be seen again? That reminds me, a whole week on and Multiply customer Services still have not replied to me! I hope that is not a sign of things to come. They obviously aren’t going to bother by the looks of things. I shall make absolutely sure to save this before I post it which is what I normally do but last week, for some reason I didn’t!
One of the things in last Mondays post was that I said that I had got it figured out why I never had enough time.......because I am always on here! I did a little audit of my blog to get some numbers. Here is what I came up with.
I began in July 2006 at Blogger.com; I didn’t really get on with that as I couldn’t figure out how to prettify things. In October 2006 I moved to Yahoo 360, copying those entries previously made at Blogger. In November of 2006 I was chosen by the Yahoo team as one of their Interesting Blogs of the month!
I stayed with Yahoo until August 2008 when I finally gave up on it. Due to the numerous problems that were occurring at Yahoo 360 I begun to use Multiply to double post my entries in September 2007. I double posted at Yahoo and Multiply for 11 months before going totally over to Multiply. At that point I copied al my previous entries so that I would have a complete record of them. According to Multiply that is a total today of 1501!!!!
I checked my own records last week to see if we agreed. I keep copies of all my blogs on my computer and many of them I also print out to keep as a record for future generations. Part of my family history project.
Anyway this is what my records show:
July – October 2006 - 72
November 2006 - 97
December 2006 - 103
January 2007 - 94
February 2007 - 108
March 2007 - 98
April 2007 - 75
May 2007 - 42
June 2007 - 83
July 2007 - 82
August 2007 - 30
September 2007 - 101
October 2007 - 31
November 2007 - 42
December 2007 - 35
January 2008 - 34
February 2008 - 23
March 2008 - 32
April 2008 - 40
May 2008 - 33
June 2008 - 36
July 2008 - 54
August 2008 - 34
September 2008 - 55
October 2008 - 48
November 2008 - 37
December 2008 - 38
January 2009 – 29 so far!
So let’s do some maths! I make that 272 entries for 2006, 826 entries for 2007, 501 entries for 2008 and so far in 2009, 29 entries. A grand total of........1628. Hmmm, if I have the sums right then Multiply are missing 127 entries!!! Of course I may just not be able to add up. LOL.
It’s interesting to see that 2007 was a busy blogging year for me. I didn’t have as much to say in 2008! Looking at the month of January alone, 2007 had 94 entries compared to 2008 which had just 34. As I am up to 29 so far (30 with this entry) then I could be set to beat last year’s January but definitely not 2007!
Interesting also to note, that February 2007 had my highest number of entries for a month ever at 108 and February 2008 strangely was my lowest number ever at 23. How odd. Ok, I’m on a roll now so let’s do some more. I have blogged for 31 months so let’s divide 1628 by 31 and it tells me I have done roughly 52 entries a month give or take! That’s quite impressive; no wonder I need more hours in the day! Well anyway.......... I think those figures are something similar to what I did last Monday.
In between doing this which I have been returning to when I have my coffee, I have actually been quite busy. I have done my kitchen as usual, even polished the sink! More of that later!!! I have got some washing on and made a cherry and almond cake. I also have bread in the bread maker..........someone is just coming in........need to go and see.......... Coralie and Evan!
Well I have spent the rest of the afternoon with Coralie and Evan here so I didn’t get to do too much more work. The hoovering has been left which is unusual, but it’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I have just made some spicy carrot and lentil soup to go with the bread for dinner though and of course my sink is shiny!!
Which brings me to the Fly Lady. Wendy suggested that I take a look at the website: http://www.flylady.net/ it’s a housework / life organisation site! She suggests that you begin to organise using baby steps, the very first of which is apparently to shine your kitchen sink first thing every morning. That means, cleaning, polishing and drying!!!!!! Wendy.........................I’m lost for words!
I did sign up to receive the emails just to see if there was anything interesting and by 10am this morning I had received 15!!!!!!!!! Yes, that’s right 15. I have since received a ton more. Quite when this Fly Woman thinks we will have time to shine our sinks when we have that number of emails to read is beyond me!
Well it is now nearly half past six so I think it is time to make me some coffee and have a little rest. Saskia has just got home and I have a couple of hours left before Simon gets in. I was going to do my Wii Fit today but it didn’t get done and I haven’t the energy now. I have been taking notes all day and photos for my 26th of the month “My day” entry. Look out for it tomorrow.
