Back In The Day1. When was the last time you went to a playground and swung on the swings? I used to love the swings when I was a child. We had one in our garden too. My dad got our children one for the garden and it lasted for years and years. It is a long time since I actually had a proper go and swung up really high. I did sit on one a few months back when we took Ellie out and she went on the baby swings. Sitting on one is not the same as really swinging and feeling the wind in your hair though. I must make a point of having a proper go on the swings soon.2. What is the first TV show you remember watching as a child? The BBC's "Watch with Mother" programmes which I think were on at about 2pm, after lunch time. My favourite wa the Wooden Tops and I loved Spotty dog!3. What's your favorite board game? We never really play board games any more except maybe at Christmas. I quite like Trivial Pursuit and another game that some one in the family got last year.......... I can't remember what it's called but you have to draw things and make things out of plasticine. When I was small Monopoly was the big game, but I'm not really keen on that now. We used to play board games when our children were small. It's something else that when I think about it, I wish we did more often. Board games are a great pastime and good fun.4. How old were you when you started school? I started at primary school in September 1963. I was 4 years and 11 months old. I was always one of the oldest in my school year. My first school was Bandley Hill Infant school.5. If you could have given any one piece of advice to yourself when you were a child, what would it be? Make the most of your childhood years and really enjoy every minute, they will be gone before you know it. You will never have such a carefree existence again!
