Quick blog (copy)

This will be a first for me, a quick blog! It has to be quick, while I drink my coffee as I still have lots of jobs to do today and then I need to pack for Dublin. The photo above shows the new lawn and if you look, you will be able to see the dead bits that the dogs "wee" has killed!

Just as we get over the Yahoo blip and the millions of old messages, a new pest begins! I am referring to the chain letters circulating at the moment. I'm sure that you have received them. The 2 most popular seem to be the one saying don't invite Marc Jacobs, or Mr X, or who ever, (there's loads of variations) and the other about HIV infected needles.

They are both hoaxes that have been around for years folks. Please, please, please don't send me any more. One lady who I don't know, called Sugar n Spice, must have hit the forward button a million times. Either that or it's another Yahoo glitch. If you want to read up about where these things begin, then have a look at the page of Peewee. This lady is not one of my friends but she has a really well written and informative blog on Internet hoaxes and chain letters. It's well worth reading.

Joshua has arrived safely back from Majorca and is in one piece! He was delayed about 7 hours due to the floods. He seems to have had a nice time, but I think it may be best if I don't see the photos!! He begins a new job tomorrow as a customer services officer with Hotpoint. I don't know if it will suit him but it is a job for the time being. He told us he would get another job immediately and he has.

Sam and Lisa came round for dinner with Ellie yesterday, which was nice. Coralie unfortunately had to work. Verity has been ringing home constantly to find out her results. The University's new on-line system for Degree results is unfortunately having technical problems!! The results should have been posted on Friday, so should have come by now. I can only think that the flooding has delayed them somewhere along the line. Hopefully they will come tomorrow and Coralie will open it and phone Verity.

OK, that's my coffee finished so I need to get on and do some more jobs. Hopefully later I will be able to get back on here and maybe do my Sunday photo word!!
