Outside My Window . . .It's quite a grey day with no sun, unlike yesterday which was lovely for this time of year. It isn't raining either which is good news. We are desperate to get some dry weather so we can get the allotment ready for planting.
I am thinking . . . It is less than a month until the spring equinox so warmer weather and longer days are nearly here.
I am thankful for . . . A wonderful supportive family and friends. The start to this year has been a bit stressful for various reasons and I am thankful to leave behind February and move on into March which hopefully will bring better things. Whatever, I know it will bring me "enough" and for that I am thankful.
From the kitchen . . . A mixed bunch has been coming from my kitchen this week as it often does when Simon is on holiday! He will do some of the cooking which is great, he is a good cook. The trouble is he does more of the things that he likes and less of what I really like! Apart from bread I have baked nothing this week. I must go through my cookery books and magazines and try out some new recipes.
I am wearing . . . Black leggings and my "Moon Walk" T shirt which is large and baggy and therefore comfy for doing house work or slobbing around. We have yet to decide if we are doing anything today! The Moon walk T shirt is white with a bright pink flourescent bra printed on it! They are the T shirts we had when we did the charity walk a couple of years back.
I am creating . . . Lots of things! You will know from my Monday make, do, or mend blogs that I am spending lots of time having fun trying out all kinds of craft ideas. A couple of days ago I ordered lots of ingredients for making bath bombs and bubble baths and creams etc. I can't wait for it to arrive. I know it has been despatched so I may be able to show you what I have made in Mondays blog.
I am going . . . to make a list of all the birthdays that I have throughout the year and a Christmas list so that I can work out ideas for presents and cards for everyone that I can make. I am trying to make things rather than buy.
I am reading . . . A backlog of Kitchen Garden magazines. I get this on subscription and I have been so busy that they have been piling up.
I am hoping . . .For some good news next Thursday. I am hoping that this year we will get a good long summer.

I am hearing . . . I am in my bedroom, Simon is downstairs somewhere. I can hear the cars on the park way which is a bit annoying. You only hear it when the wind is blowing the right (or wrong) way or if the road is wet. I can hear the birds singing. There are lots of birds and they are beginning tt build their nests now..
Around the house . . . Loads to do. I always get behind when Simon is on holiday. I guess my routines go to pot as we do other things. Parts of the house look like a bomb has landed! I must tidy Saskias room as she will be home on Sunday night. I have been using it as my sewing room and it is wonderful because I can spread out and don't have to worry about clearing away. She will be home every Sunday for 6 weeks as she has to do one day a week teaching practice which she is doing at The Voyager school.
One of my favorite things . . . My garden. It is small and right now it looks a mess but in a few more weeks things will begin to grow and it looks really nice in the summer with all my pots flowering. Just hope this year the weather is good enough to enjoy it.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week . . . We had planned to get up to Stevenage this week to visit parents but as there is now only the weekend left before Simon returns to school I don't know if that will happen. It has been a busy week.

I do want to visit the Hobby Craft shop as I have a few bits that I need to get such as a zip for my skirt. I am thinking that maybe this afternoon we could get out in the garden and begin on the spring clear up as it isn't raining and it's not too cold. 55 degrees according to Yahoo. All my roses need re-potting into John Innes number 3 potting compost. We have got the compost so I am thinking that would be a good job to get out of the way. It needs doing before they really start their spring growth spurt.
Here is picture thought I am sharing . . .
Jilly
