Sunday

I'm not having the best weekend!  I had a headache that started on Friday night and although it is much better now it is still lurking around.  I was home alone yesterday as Simon was somewhere racing his stupid electric car.  He left at 5am.  Can you believe it. If I had wanted to go somewhere that necessitated being up at that hour on a Saturday it would have been a big NO.

I spent the day laying on the sofa mostly dozing on and off. I had got very little sleep the night before.  Later in the afternoon when my head was a bit better I watched some things I had recorded on the sky box.  I watched 2 episodes of "Who do you think you are" which were excellent. For my Merikan friends who may not have heard of it........it is a family history programme.  If you are able to get it on one of your cable channels I can thoroughly recommend it.  It is the BBC at its best.

After that I watched the Disney film bed knobs and broomsticks.  I had recorded it because I thought the grandchildren might like it but now I have seen it I think they are a bit too young yet.  I loved it!  Can you believe I had never seen it?  I have seen most of the old Disney films but somehow missed that one.

By the time that finished it was nearly time to watch strictly.  Yes, I had a real TV day yesterday!  I watched more TV than I normally would watch in a few weeks.  Strictly was very good.  Loved Scott, Kara and Gavin.  I shall watch the results show tonight.  I think it will be Felicity and Michelle in the bottom two and I think it will be Michelle to go.  I hope so as I can't stand another week of her high pitched, whiny, little girl voice!   Anton and Ann will stay in.  There that's my prediction!

So far today I have been lazing around in my bedroom.  I have got washed and dressed but I haven't ventured downstairs yet!  Simon went to the allotment this morning and did an hour of digging.  He is now planting more daffodil bulbs in the front garden.  I hope they all come up. He is going to do dinner when he comes in.  I am taking it really easy as I don't want the headache to come back on.  Not to mention I think I deserve a day of doing nothing.

This is the second weekend where I have done nothing in the house so  that means next week will be a busy one of house work again!  A woman's work is  never done!  I need to get myself organised for Christmas too.  I have been looking at a few things online and I might get round to ordering them later.  It's not long now to the big day!  Before that we have Flynn's first birthday on Friday and Sam's 30th birthday the week after.

My Dads birthday is also on the 13th of December and we are planning the usual birthday / Christmas meal for him on the 12th.  We are going to do it buffet style this year rather than a full Christmas dinner.  We do it at my sisters house and it is getting impossible to seat everyone for a formal meal. Numbers are increasing each year!

I think I am going to venture downstairs now.  I am going to see what else I have recorded on that sky box.  I fancy just sitting.  Think I will take my lap top down with me and then I can multi-task by playing face book games at the same time!

Oh, I have posted the photos of the boys baptism last week in an album.  Take a look. There are quite a lot of Jessica.

I wrote this earlier this afternoon.  Since then I have had a TV marathon!  I watched Beverley Hills chihuahua and Meet the parents.  Both films I had not seen before and both were hilariously funny.  You must be getting an idea of the kind of stuff I like!  LOL.  Talking dogs are right up my street.  I can't be doing with anything nasty and I never watch anything violent.

After that it was Strictly results time and I am pleased to say my prediction was spot on. Bye, bye Michelle!  After Strictly I had a face book chat with Coralie and she sent me a couple of photos of her new baby........yes we are getting another new baby in our family...........

He is an Irish Setter.  6 weeks old in this photo.  They bring him home in 2 weeks time.  He is to be named Barclay.  Isn't he just gorgeous?
