The daily photo theme.

Well I am up and I am sitting at my computer.  I am marginally better than yesterday.  I have overdosed on Vitamin C and Echinacea in an attempt to limit this stupid cold.  This is the second one in a month and they always seem to really wipe me out. I can’t see me getting much done as I feel too grotty.  I have cleaned and tidied the kitchen which is the most important thing; the rest of the house will just have to go to pot until I regain some energy.
Anyway, I’m having a cup of coffee so I can catch up with the photo theme.  Yesterday it was: 25. Beach. (Suggested by Jenny)
I am going to show you a few photos.  The first one is the beach in Sidmouth Devon.  We used to live there.  It isn’t my photo as back then we didn’t have digital cameras so all my photos are in proper, real, albums and I don’t have the energy today to search through them.
Sidmouth is a lovely, quaint, English seaside town and I don’t think at the time I realised just how lucky we were to live somewhere so beautiful.  The beach is not the best that Britain has to offer but it is nice and has lots of rock pools at low tide which our children loved.
The next beach is what we call our local beach although it is 47 miles away from us.  It is Snetisham beach.  As you can see there isn’t a whole lot of sand!  Our children always loved this beach and called it the shell beach because there are so many shells there to collect.  We have come here lots on day trips over the years.
This photo was taken in July 2000 and was Alfie and Loulou’s first trip to the beach.
My real favourite beaches are the ones they have abroad in places like Spain, and Cyprus.  They are always lovely and soft and the sun shines on them!  That’s the secret I think!  We have beaches in England to rival anywhere in the world but we need the sunshine to go with them.
These ones were taken in In Majorca in 2005
My kind of beach....it's empty!
This beach was fabulous.
These 2 were taken in Ibiza at Niu Blau in 2006 it is a beautiful beach.
Today’s them is: 26. Shadows.  Well I have searched and searched for the photo that I wanted which was one that Saskia took a couple of years ago.  It was for a university project on perspective.  I can’t find it now so instead you get Alfie and Loulou in the garden!
Tomorrow’s theme is: 27. Sunshine. Not sure if there will be much of that around!
