The weeks going fast.

Guess what?  I switched on my computer this morning and once again the banner photo, boxes and animated buttons are all back!  I think I must have a spook in my Multiply account!  The clock and weather gizmo's are still above my "welcome", rather than in the right rail, but what the heck, I quite like them there!
I can't move them anyway as the code is still in the right rail box and when I deleted it today they didn't disappear!  They are still here on my blog compose page too!  I think Dixie maybe right that they are interfering with the page code in some way.
I think it is looking ok though at the moment, so I may just leave it for a while, although I would like to add to that right rail.  One or two of you said that my title didn't show up very clearly in pale lemon, so I have messed around with that.  I have tried a multitude of different colours both light and dark and nothing shows that well because the banner picture is so bright and colourful.
Black works but I don't want black.  I want either pink or yellow to tie in with every thing else.  At the moment I have a kind of golden yellow and I have run out of enthusiasm for messing with it.  I don't think  it's that important and I have spent enough time messing around this week and it eats into my blogging time!   If any of you can see anything obviously wrong or think you are seeing something different to me, please let me know.
Today has been a busy day with house work this morning  and messing around on here.  After lunch I went to the Voyager school as my friend Ed had asked me to go along as his witness for a grievance action that he has taken against the Company Ecovert who employ him.
You may remember me mentioning that he broke his leg a while back.  Well his Company refused to pay him for the whole three and a half months that he was off work.  The reason..........misconduct.  They say that the accident was his own fault because he was doing a back flip and that constitutes misconduct!
Now if he had been doing a back flip down the corridor, on their premises, during his working hours, I could understand; but surely what you do in your own time is your own business?  I would very much like to know how they distinguish between what is an accident and what is your own fault.
Ed has been to a Solicitor about this and they are taking it further, probably to court, but first he has to go through the Company's own grievance procedure so that if it goes to court his Solicitor can say everything was done through the proper channels.
The meeting was really just going through what has happened so far.  I was very good, I refrained from adding my views, as I was just supposed to be a witness!  I did go in and place my handbag, keys and glasses on the table though as that establishes power apparently!  You are taking ownership of the space!!  I also got out a note book and proceeded to take down "notes" in the hope that may worry them!!    LOL!  I just hope it works out for him.  He lives on his own and has a mortgage to pay and all the normal bills.  That's not easy when you suddenly lose over 3 months pay.
On the way home, I popped into Sainsburys and Iceland for a few bits.  Since I've been in I have made a cake.  It's a new recipe for an orange, cranberry and almond cake.  It's in the oven now so I don't yet know how it will turn out.   I am really getting back into cooking.  I have been doing lots of baking and trying out lots of new recipes.  I'm going to get a subscription to Good Food magazine.  Today I got a copy of Delicious magazine, so I shall read through that later.
Funny how much baking we did years ago when the family were young and how you get out of the habit.  I used to do it all then as we didn't have much money and we had a large family to feed. Plus all the children loved cooking.  It won't hurt to save some money now either.  I can't believe how much everything keeps going up here.  Of course I do ordinary cooking every day for dinner!
Right, time to get off of here and go and take a look at that cake and get started on dinner.
