Today’s list of things to be grateful for or appreciate:
Theo my dentist, for fitting me in at short notice this morning and treating my abscess.
For antibiotics, where would we be without them.
Coralie, for driving me all the way to the dentist in Spalding at short notice.
The pain is less in my tooth than it was last night.
For paracetamol, Ibruprofen and Codis. Yes I have used them all this week!
For Morphine, Someone close to me needs this really bad right now. I wish they didn't.
Evan, my precious little grandson, who Coralie thought she would never have. I told you that you would! Mummy knows! It must have been that crystal!
Crystals.... and their magical powers!
Being able to take Evan to the swimming pool. We are lucky to have these facilities.
Saskia's first week at University has gone well.
The opportunity for my children to further their education.
Samuel being uninjured in a car crash, yesterday.
Red wine!
Breakfast in bed as always. Scrambled eggs on toast courtesy of Simon.
The convenience of local shops.
Pro-biotic drinks, to replace the good bacteria knocked out by antibiotics.
Not having to cook dinner, Joshua did it for me.
Rosie, Loulou and Alfie, the best comforters!
Coffee.
Having a TV to watch Eastenders and a DvD player in our bedroom.
Being able to watch the wild life in our garden. This evening we watched a tiny mouse feeding on the peanuts that the squirrel had knocked out of the bird feeder! Three squirrels, a robin, some blue tits and a wood pecker that was on the hill outside our back gate. Yesterday we had a hedgehog, but unfortunately Alfie got hold of it and cut all his mouth. I am grateful that the hedgehog was ok and that Alfie wasn't badly hurt.
For a bright warm, autumn day even after a misty start. The promise of the same tomorrow
The postman delivered me 2 paperback books that I won in a competition.
For my lovely cosy, warm, memory foam bed, which I am going to get into soon!
Being able to stay up as long as I want to.
