This sculpture is on the beach at Aldeburgh and is a memorial to Sir Benjamin Britten.
The sculpture is by Maggi Hambling and called The Scallop
The words say: "I hear those voices that will not be drowned"

These are the holiday "chalets" on the coast at Walberswick. The middle one is where Simon had holidays with his family as a child.

Walberswick is the village that will be over taken by the sea in years to come as the government are no longer going to maintain the sea defences at walberswick. It will disappear just as surely as Dunwich did all those years ago. Buried beneath the waves.
