Tuesday Thirteen on Wednesday

I said I was going to do Tuesday Thirteen yesterday, but I didn't get around to it. So here it is, a day late!! I can't remember where I got up to with my alphabet theme; I need to check. So I decided to do my 13 favourite films. They aren't in any order.
1. Dirty Dancing. Who can resist Patrick Swayze's sexy dance moves? And, who can forget the line " Nobody puts baby in the corner". I only wish I could learn to dance like that in just a few days! Saskia can of course, but then she is a professional dancer and it took years of training.
2. 101 Dalmatians. What can I say? It's about Dalmatians! I still can't decide if I like the cartoon version or the "real life" version best. I was against the making of the "real" version because the puppies used were so young. At the time there were rumours that people were breeding pups in the hope that they would be used in the film and they could make money. I only hope the excess pups all found loving homes.
3. My Best Friends Wedding. This is so girly and funny, I just love it. The music is great too. Remember the scene in the restaurant for the wedding breakfast? Rupert Everett is fantastic.
4. The Sound of Music. This is just about the first film that I remember seeing in the cinema. I still love it. The music is fantastic.
5. Beethoven. A big slobbery dog and children, what more could I want from a film?
6. Homeward Bound. More dogs! A beautiful story, with and ending to make you cry.
7. Mary Poppins. Another film that I was taken to see at the cinema when I was a child. I don't know anyone that doesn't love Mary! Imagine a childhood with her.
8. Shrek. This is just the funniest thing ever. The jokes are brilliant and the music is good.
9. The Rocky Horror Show. A strange story but fantastic songs. Who doesn't know how to do the "Time warp"??
10. Pretty Woman. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere . I love those 2 together. This is another funny movie with some good music. It's a sort of modern day Cinderella story. Great for girls.
11. Titanic. A love story of epic proportions, with a great theme tune. If you have never seen the film, I bet you can hum along to "The heart goes on"!
12. Three men and a baby. A brilliant comedy that always makes me laugh.
13. Grease. One of my all time favourite musicals. Great music and Dancing. Which teenage girl didn't want to be Sandy??
Notice any themes? They are all either musicals, "chick flicks" or they have dogs in them! I am not a big watcher of films and I hate anything violent so that rules out quite a lot. I like films that are fun and make me feel good. Films that are easy to watch.
