Tuesday Thirteen

It's time for Tuesday thirteen. Here goes, remember they are just things that are important or relevant to me and they are in no particular order. This week it is the letter: "T"

1. Teddies. I love teddies and have quite a collection of big and small. I still have 2 of my child hood teddies, Growley and Snowy. Unfortunately Growleys "growl" is more of a whimper and snowy is no longer snowy, more a sort of grey! I also have Small Ted who I bought with my pocket money when we were away on holiday one year when I was about 8.

I have about 30 of the small TY Beanie bears, all different. I have a hand made bear from a small limited collection and 2 Steiff bears, both given to me by my parents for my birthday. They turned out to be identical twins!! I now also have most of my Mums bears too. One of them is a large chocolate coloured Steiff bear who my Dad named Eastbourne Alfie because they got him on holiday in Eastbourne. I love them all.

2. Turkey. A favourite meal of mine is roast Turkey. I couldn't possibly have anything else for Christmas dinner.

3. Time. Why does time seem to go faster and faster the older you get? Why does it slow down again just when you want it to whizz by? Like today, Simon is at his interview and I just want the time to go quick, but the day is just creeping along slower and slower. Then when you want it to slow down so you can savour a moment, what does it do? It flys! "Tempus Fugit", the Latin for Time flies. I have made several embroidered clocks over the years with that Latin inscription on them. I keep meaning to make one to keep for myself because all the ones that I have made have been given away as presents. If only I had more time.

4. Ten. I was born on the tenth of the tenth month and I have regarded 10 as being my lucky number since I was a child.

5. Today. I believe that we should always live for today as it is all we have. You never know how many more "Todays" you will get.

6. Tenerife. Simon and I have been to Tenerife and love it. It has everything you could want, sun, sea, sand, good food, good wine, wonderful scenery........

7. Talking. Yes, I like to talk!! It's one of my hobbies. Give me a subject and I will talk about it!

8. Tears. I am quite an emotional person and many things can bring tears to my eyes. I will often cry at stuff on the news and films etc.. Unfortunately over the last few years, I have cried many tears and I don't think they are going to stop any time soon.

Hmmm..... I have sat here gazing at my screen and thinking and thinking, but I can't think of any more "T's". So unfortunately todays Tuesday Thirteen, has just become the Tuesday Eight!!! Hopefully I'll do better next week.

Actually, if I stick to my theme, next week will be the letter "U", so not much hope there really! I think I will combine U, V and W. That might work.
