Wednesday again already, the times flying. I only have 2 days left to get our holiday stuff packed and organised. I was out most of the day today. This morning I went to the hairdressers to have my highlights re-done. So that's got rid of the grey for a few weeks again.
That took up most of the morning and from there I caught a bus into town. I did a bit of shopping. I got a pair of brown trousers for when I'm in school. A pair of jeans, a red cardigan and some really nice shoes in a sort of beige colour with kitten heels. I do like my shoes!!
I also got myself some Lush bath bombs, which I love. In fact on the Lush web site they are now selling retro items, which are brand new batches, made specially, of old items that they have discontinued. I'm afraid I went a bit mad last night and ordered myself a few! Some were ones that I have had before and love and some are ones that I have never tried before.
I also got some boring stuff today, like ibuprofen tablets, tumble drier sheets and sellotape! Plus an anti snoring device for Simon to try!! It's a small plastic thing that fits inside the nostrils and apparently keeps the airway open and therefore stops snoring!!! I'm not really convinced, but it's worth a try. Not tonight though as he has to be up really early tomorrow to drive to Spalding where his second interview is. I don't want him to be kept awake by the anti snoring thingy!!
Unfortunately the interview he had yesterday didn't work out. He thought it went really well but the feed back that he had afterwards from the Head Master was that, although they were very impressed with him, they didn't feel that he had quite enough management experience! Shame as he really liked the school.
Keep your fingers and everything else crossed for him for tomorrow please. This interview is for the head of Technology at Spalding Grammar School which is an all boys school, 11-18 years. It is highly respected and has excellent results but then they do take only the top 20% from the county of Lincolnshire!
I find it really hard waiting to hear from him and get quite anxious on his behalf. Tomorrow I am going to keep myself busy with lots of jobs and then I am going to meet Saskia in town for lunch. Iwill have to go in on the bus as Simon will have our car.
Tomorrow evening we are baby sitting for Ellie. It is Lisa's birthday and they are going out for a meal. Hopefully she will be a good girl for her Nanny and Grandad. Verity is also coming home tomorrow for Easter. She won't be here until about 10.30pm though. She has to go back on Monday as she is due back at her teaching placement on the Isle of Wight on Tuesday morning. Unfortunately the holidays are different in Hampshire; so whereas the school term here finished today, in Southampton they don't finish for another 2 weeks! They just get the bank holiday off for Easter.
On Friday I am going to do a family dinner and hopefully everyone will be able to be here. Simon and I are going on holiday on Saturday so we won't be here for Easter. I made sure to buy Easter eggs today! We will only see Verity for 1 day.
So all in all, I haven't go much time to pack as the next 2 days are quite full and busy and we are off on Saturday morning. I haven't dared to look at the weather forecast for next week but I am hoping that it will be nice. The one good thing about not flying and taking the car across with us, is that we will have no weight restrictions so I can pack for every kind of weather!!!
Right, that's it for today. I am going to go and have a nice relaxing bath with one of my Lush bath bombs!
