Wedding speeches

As per normal the speeches were kicked off by Simon as the bride’s father.  He did a wonderful job and we are really disappointed that the camera ran out after less than 2 minutes of video!  I have got a copy of his speech though and I will put that in a blog because I think it was very good.

He was followed by Steve who also did a brilliant job.  He started out with some pages cut from one of Verity’s wedding magazines which was very funny!  He was so lovely at the end telling her how much he loved her and how happy he was.  It was really nice.

Coralie followed by reading “Enough”.  I am sure you will all know this as it is my favourite poem which has been on my blog many times.  Verity read it on my behalf at Coralies wedding so it seemed right that Coralie should read it on my behalf for Verity.  I couldn’t read it myself as it would make me too emotional.  Coralie got very emotional when she read it. 

Strangely Simon got really choked up half way through his speech too which is not like him at all.  I don’t know what happened and he said he didn’t either.  I was fine except for a small blip during Simon’s speech when he mentioned my Mum.  My Dad was upset then too.  My Dad was very upset in the church but I had to ignore him or it would have set me off.
