Good morning all.  It's a grotty grey day here in Peterborough.  We have high winds and drizzly rain but who cares we have exciting news on our allotment front.
It has been a bit of a saga!  Coralie phoned the nice man Nick, at the council and he gave her the phone number of Sheila the lady in charge of letting the plots.  Coralie then spent ages trying to get her as her phone was constantly engaged.  When she finally got her she said she wasn't doing it anymore as it was too time consuming.
Coralie said where does that leave us and Sheila said ring Nick at the council!!  So she did..... and for a while his number was unobtainable!!  Anyway she finally got him and he said he would sort it all out for us and we are to meet him at 2pm today at the allotment.  This is great news as he is extremely helpful.
When Coralie first spoke to him this morning he said there were various plots available and started giving her the plot numbers.  Coralie said it didn't matter as a plot is a plot.  Apparently that is not the case as they all vary.  He told her to get plot 92 if we got a choice as it's the best of what's available.  Since he is now sorting it out for us, I imagine we will get that plot.
He also has his own plot there and I think he may be a great source of help and information.  The thing is, I now need to get  myself over to Coralies for about 1pm so we can have lunch first.  I am going to go on the bus which she says is the number 3 from Bretton.  It'll take about an hour so I need to get myself ready soon and leave.  Bang goes my housework for today!!
I do have plenty of time though as Simon is at his welding course tonight and won't be in until about 9pm.  I will take my camera and get some photos of our new plot, fingers crossed.  On the way home I'll call in at the library and see if they have any of the books that I requested yesterday.  It's very exciting.
Do you remember that I mentioned the other day that I had made a new bird feeder from a milk carton and that the Robins quite like it?  Well so does somebody else!!!

This is what he was getting up to this morning.  I have some other photos which I'll put in my January album later.  Right, time to get wrapped up to brave the weather and go off to the bus stop.  Back later.
