This is a catch up blog! I have had a busy few days since my birthday on Sunday. As normal when everyone has been here I spent Monday catching up on household stuff. Tuesday was pretty much the same. Wednesday I went with Coralie up to Stevenage to see My Mum and Dad. Mum was as she always is but my Dad has been really poorly. He has had 12 days in bed with flu. My sister has been calling in twice a day to care for him. Anyway to cut a long story short he said he was worse so I called the doctor again and he has given him antibiotics for a chest infection so hopefully they will help him to get back on his feet.
Yesterday I was looking after Evan and Flynn. They were both very good. Evan made me laugh in the morning because he kept Saying, “Flynn is tired Nanny, we need to put him to bed”! I think it was he his way of getting me to himself! I did take a tiny bit of video but I haven’t looked at it yet so I may or may not post it.
Anyway..... I have missed 4 days of my own photo challenge! DURRR! So without further ado........
Day 12 - A picture of your favourite food
This was a really hard one as I have so many favourites! LOL. It rather depends on what we are talking.......... dinner, dessert, starter, cake, sweet etc etc. My favourite thing for breakfast is eggs. My favourite lunch is smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches........then again I also love prawn sandwiches! My favourite dinner is probably rump steak with Simons prawn sauce and all the trimmings............... I also love roast chicken and steamed salmon and any kind of fish dish and......and........ how am I supposed to decide? My favourite dessert is profiteroles but then I also love trifle and..........and.... Oh heck. I am posting a photo of rump steak. Unfortunately I haven’t got one of my own. Next time we have that dinner I shall take a photo.
Day 13 - A picture of your most treasured possession
Easy peasey! I do not have a favourite possession. I am not overly materialistic. I do like nice things and I have plenty of nice things. They are all replaceable. In the big scheme of things not one of them matters. Therefore I have posted a photo of my complete family because although they are not a possession they are each and every one of them what I treasure most.
Day 14 - A picture of a funny sign
I have a small collection of these kept on my computer. Mostly they have been sent to me by friends or I have come across them somewhere. They make me laugh. This one says it all!
Day 15 - A picture of something you’d like to learn.
This was quite hard there are quite a few things that I would like to learn. Most of them are probably pipe dreams. EG I know I am never going to be a great singer! As you know I haven’t long had a sewing machine and so far I have only made basic stuff. I would really like to learn how to follow a pattern and carry out some more ambitious projects. This is my sewing machine.
Hopefully I will catch up with you all over the weekend although mine is going to be a busy one. On top of that I still don’t feel 100%. I can’t put my finger on what is really wrong though. Never mind, onwards and upwards!
