I am finally sitting down with my afternoon coffee so it is DPT time! Today it is: 8. Your bathroom or something in your bathroom. (Suggested by Mickey) Well I am organised and ready for this one! I took photos a few days ago when we were doing the silver theme.
First of all there is the blue iguana that we got in Ibiza.
Then there is another cross stitch picture that I did years ago. The frame was originally a blue / grey but I noticed that it has gone a bit odd. I think I might spray it silver so that it matches the frame of the beach sampler cross stitch that I showed you last week.
Above the window and sink we have yet more stuff. Another cross stitch picture and 4 holiday photos that were taken in Majorca. Don't look too closely at them!
So those are the interesting things in my bathroom. It does also have a standard white bathroom suite with over bath, gas powered shower. I like white suites best.
Does anyone else remember the trend back in the seventies for coloured bath suites? Dark colours were popular and I think avocado green was the absolute favourite. Even stores like M&S sold bathroom accessories in avocado green! I thought it was quite cool at the time but looking back it was revolting!
They also did chocolate, navy and burgundy. Further back still in the fifties they had pastel coloured suites. Pale pink baths or pale blue! YUK!
It has just dawned on me that maybe I should have checked out everyone’s post first to see what your bathrooms are like. I have quite possibly just offended someone who has a pale pink bath and thinks it’s the height of fashion! Sorry if I have!
