Well I didn't get my embroidery done yesterday in the end as Sam and Lisa called in with Ellie. That was really nice and I was able to give them the things I got for Ellie the other day, which it turns out are all way too big. Ellie is walking now!!! Can you believe it, 10 months old and walking. She is such a clever girl. I thought she would walk early as her Daddy walked at 9 months.
She wasn't much interested in the toys yesterday. She just wanted to stand up at the shelves and pull all the videos and DVDs out. That's much more fun. Like father like daughter, I've seen it all before! Simon and I are going to babysit her next Thursday evening as it is Lisa's birthday and they are going out for a meal. I have never put her to bed before so I hope she is happy with me.
I watched my friend's horse in the Gold Cup race at Cheltenham yesterday and unfortunately it lost! Goodness knows how he will feel about that, he had a lot of money on it and was sure it would win. It was quite exciting to watch even though horse racing is not my thing.
We had a quiet night last night just reading and watching TV. Today has been quiet too really. Coralie called in for a while this morning and we had a nice chat. Joshua has gone to Bedford for the weekend to try out the night life. Bedford is one of the places where he has been offered a University place and it seems that the quality of the night life is quite critical to deciding where he goes!!!
Simon has gone to his barn to work on his car. He should've been going to Leicester to collect some wheels that he "won" on EBay. However when he rung the man there seems to have been some confusion as they were collected yesterday!! He wasn't too pleased! I hope things work out for what ever he is doing at the barn. Just recently it seems that his hobby is causing him as much stress as work. He comes home really wound up as things haven't gone to plan.
I Haven't done much today, a bit of washing and ironing as usual and cleaned the kitchen window. I have caught up on some emails too and entered some competitions. I have a bit of a headache so I have just taken some tablets and I am going to have a relaxing bath and then do some sewing until Simon gets in. He said he will do dinner so hopefully I can relax and get rid of my headache. One way or another things seem to be getting on top of me at the moment and I am worrying about all sorts of things. I try to not let it get to me but it does. Off to the bath with me!!
