One or two of my close friends will know that my Uncle Ron has been very ill the last month with pancreatic cancer. Thank you for keeping him and the family in your prayers. It is with very great sadness that I blog today.
Uncle Ron passed away this evening, Monday 20th October 2008. May he rest forever in peace. My thoughts are with My Aunt June and my 2 cousins Pat and Gary and also my Dad.
Uncle Ron was not only my Dads brother in law but his greatest friend. Ron was a great joker and along with my Dad they created many, very happy memories over the years. Ron did a lot of work for charity and he was honoured for this work on Saturday evening. He had a smile and a joke for everyone and would do anything that he could to help others. He and Aunt June have been a tower of strength for us over the last few years of my Mums illness.
I will remember him always as a larger than life man, with a smile and a joke.
