Finally got time to get here! Hopefully I will not be last today. The challenge is: 22. Wild life in your garden.
Well I wanted to get a photo of those pesky squirrels but wouldn’t you just know it none of them appeared today! Perhaps they are finally hibernating. It is very odd that the last few years they haven’t seemed to hibernate at all. Not even last year when we had snow. If they are hibernating already this year, does that mean that the weather is going to be really bad? I wonder?
I do have some old squirrel photos but they aren’t that good so I have decided to show you something else. You have seen it before. It is a blue tit on the fat ball feeder, taken in my garden in May. Isn’t he just gorgeous?
I spent over an hour this morning cleaning out all my feeders and restocking them. I have 8! 2 have peanuts, 3 have mixed bird seed, 1 has fat balls, 1 has a special mix for Robins and the last one has niger seed for the finches. I managed to drop a whole load of seed on the kitchen floor while I was doing it! I do mean a WHOLE load too! I hoped to get some photos but the birds are in hiding today I think. It’s cold, grey and drizzling with rain. Absolutely horrid. Hopefully they will be around tomorrow.
The challenge for Tuesday is: 23. A tree near your house.
A nice easy one for me! A few of you have made suggestions for January but if we want to keep this ongoing into next year any suggestions will be gratefully received!
Jilly
