Second entry

Well, I have just about finished clearing up after the slug! Gross and yukky. I still can't work out how it got in. Simon is home now and we have just had dinner. Roast chicken and all the trimmings. We sat in the garden for a short while after Simon got home. It was rather chilly but nice to sit there with a glass of wine.
We probably won't be able to do that for a few days as the weather is predicted to be cold and rainy for the next few days. I didn't get round to taking my photos but as soon as the weather improves, I will.
We spent a while bird watching and Simon identified one of my mystery birds as a green finch. We also watched 2 collared doves feeding. They are obviously a pair and have been coming backwards and forwards all day. I have named them George and Ada and I am happy to have them as long as they don't scare the little birds!
Simon has just gone to collect a travel cot that I got on EBay. It looks good and has only been used a couple of times. It was a bargain, only £5.50. I need somewhere safe for Ellie to sleep and also "Bob" when he/she arrives.
I am going to go and have a nice relaxing bubble bath with a glass of red wine and my book. I am reading "What a crave up" by Jonathan Coe. It's a sequel to a book I read last week. It's quite funny. I need to get on with reading as Coralie gave me "Engleby" yesterday which is the book of the month for our Purple Wearers online reading group.
I have a busy week coming up. Tomorrow I have my Doctors appointment to get the results of my tests and find out what my blood pressure is doing. Then in the afternoon, I have a job interview. I applied for 12 hours a week as a sales assistant in a new shop opening at our local centre.
The shop is Peacocks which sells cheap fashionable clothing. It could be an ideal job as it is only a few minutes walk away. We will see. On Tuesday I have a plumber coming to fit a new kitchen mixer tap and an outside tap. Then on Friday I have Ellie here all day. That only leaves me with Wednesday and Thursday. I won't be able to get up to my Dad either as Simon is out on Exam moderating visits all week.
Right, that's all for now, my bath is waiting. One last thing before I go.............take a look at my Doggies, Dog log. They have all done entries this afternoon. You can see it here: http://dallies.multiply.com/
Which reminds me.... they need some more friends! I know that Nikki wants her own blog so she doesn't have to keep hijacking her Mummy Connies. There are other doggies out there too. These friends of Mummy have doggies: Crissi, Bobbie, Angel, Nikita, Fuzzy, Badger watcher, Kaz and Dutch. Your Doggies need their own Dog Logs!
