Sunday copy)

myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics Well it's Sunday again. Actually most of Sunday has gone now as I have been too busy today to get on here any earlier!  Still better late than never.
So what have I been busy doing?  Well I didn't get up until about 10am and Simon went straight off walking the dogs so I did a bit of catching up on my emails.  Just after Simon came back Coralie came round for a while and we had a chat while I did some ironing.  After that we had some lunch (actually, I didn't) then Simon went off to his barn to work on his car.
I did some more house work and a bit more computing then I went over to Tescos with Saskia as I realised we didn't have enough potatoes.  Exciting stuff!  The potatoes ended up costing an awful lot, as some how (I really don't know how this happened) a very large flat screen HD TV found it's way into my trolley!  Can you beleive that?  I'm rather hoping that Simon will believe me when he gets in as I paid for it using his bank card.
Actually, as you probably guessed by now it didn't exactly fall into my trolley!  Simon and I have been looking at them for ages as the TV in our living room is quite ancient.  As is normal for us we had been umming and ahing for weeks.  It always takes us forever to make up our minds to something;  that's apart from the occasions where we suddenly do something really rash on the spur of the moment!
Anyway, I thought we should treat ourselves as we spend most of our money on the kids.  It's more of a treat for Simon as he watches it more than me!  As you all know I only watch Eastenders and Neighbours if it's on when I am having my lunch.  Simon doesn't watch much either but does like a good film.  Come to think of it, why did we need a new TV when we hardly watch it?
Well after the saga of getting it home, I don't think I am going to be taking it back.   To buy a TV in Tescos begins with a half hour wait at the electricals customer service desk.  The man was very nice but told us we would have to pay for the potatoes first as they don't do potatoes there!  He said while we were paying he would get our TV ready and we could just go back and pay.
So, up to the tills at the front of the shop we go.  We stand in the queue for 10 items and less, and we wait.... and we wait ..... and we wait some more!  Finally we get to pay for the potatoes.  Saskia then decides that she needs credit on her mobile so she does that.  Unfortunately it goes wrong some how and she is directed to customer services to sort it out!   At this point we decide as there is only 10 minutes before closing that I will progress back to electricals on my own.
I get back and I can see my TV,  plus free DVD player and the TV stand and other bits that we apparently need like leads or something (don't they come with leads?).  It's all there neatly stacked on a  trolley.  The only thing is that I have to apparently rejoin the queue!   Fortunately it is slightly shorter than the first time.   Luckily when I get to the head of the queue and they ring up my purchase they fail to notice that the card is not actually mine!!!!  Teee he he!!
Has anybody else realised that these chip and pin cards that the shop keepers don't even touch, let alone look at,  actually make missuse easier?  At least before when they (supposedly) checked your signature there was a chance they may notice that the card wasn't actually yours.  They hopefully would have noticed that I am not actually a Mr anybody.  I should mention at this point that we do share all our finances  and have joint accounts  so I haven't actually nicked Simons card, I do have one of my own, but not on me!!
Anyway, once we had finally completed the purchase a very nice "youth" was allocated to us to push it on the roll pallet thingy all the way to the car.  Once we were outside and I told him where the car actually was, he said, "you go and fetch it and I will wait here".  As we were in the furthest reaches of the car park, that seemed fair enough.
It took about 10 minutes to retrieve the car and get back to him.  The poor lad who was only in a T shirt, looked nearly perished!  Teee he he.   Serves him right, he shouldv'e pushed it all the way to the car then he would have kept warm.  He safely installed it all in the back for us, luckily the seats were already folded down and we set off for home.
By this time the whole shopping centre was closed so we set off for home along with about 10 million others.  Nightmare!  When we got home the next problem was how to get it all into the house?  I didn't want to leave it in the car so we struggled between the 2 of us and finally managed it.  We have left the table in the car as that has glass in it and is extremely heavy.   We worked really hard and dragged it to the living room  where Simon can't see it until he goes in there later.   I will leave the saga of setting it up to him.  I am not that brave!  If he decides that we don't need a new TV after all then I will let him take it back for a refund!!  Do they do refunds on TV's because you changed your mind??
So, since then I have put the meat in the oven for dinner and prepared all the veggies and I am now having a well earned cup of coffee.  Shopping is very tiring and stressful work.  You men should bare that fact in mind when your woman comes home after a shopping trip.  Please also bare in mind that sometimes articles that you hadn't necessarily meant to pick up, some how fall into your trolley, OK!
