Well once again I am so far behind that I am doing something on the wrong day!! It's Thirteen Tuesday on Thursday!!!! Actually some of you may know that the original idea was Thirteen Thursday, but I changed mine to Tuesday just to be different!
This week I'm doing 13 of my favourite films.
1. Dirty Dancing ...... the ultimate dance movie.
2. Pretty Woman. A real feel good fairy tale.
3. Mary Poppins. The first film I ever saw.
4. Chicago. A great musical.
5. Disney's Fantasia. I saw this while on a brownie holiday aged about 8 and I was mesmerised.
6. 101 Dalmatians. This ones an obvious choice and I like the animated cartoon as much as the "real live" version.
7. Cocktail. Great music and beach scenes.
8. My Best Friends Wedding. Good music and humour.
9. Sound of Music. One of the first films I saw. A classic. Who doesn't like it? I bet you know all the songs!
10. Homeward Bound. A lovely story about dogs.
11. Sister Act. Whoopi Goldberg at her best, very funny.
12. Grease. What can I say? Grease is the Word!
13. Shrek. This is a brilliant fairy tale with good music and great laughs.
Now, if you are observant you will be able to tell several things from my list:
Firstly, there is no violence, they are all nice "girly" films. Secondly, I like musicals, thirdly, I like comedies, fourthly, hang on is there such a word as fourthly? Anyway, 4. I like dance and music. 5. I like Disney films. 6. I like Dogs and 7, I must like Richard Gere as he is in 2 of the films! Actually so is Julia Roberts.
