I think I am finally ready to start posting the photos of Verity and Steve’s wedding. Yes, yes, I know it was only 6 weeks ago now! The reason that it has taken so long is that there were a lot of photos taken by lots of different people and it has taken a while to get them all sent to me. Then I made the mistake of putting them all in one folder which meant that due to them all having different numbers they were all in a dreadful muddle. Not in sequence so you couldn’t possibly have viewed them as a slide show.
A few weeks ago when I thought that I had them all I began a sort out and a renumber. It was a nightmare because as you begin to renumber you find that you already have photos with that number! I hit upon beginning them all with 00 and that worked for a while until I found that somebody’s camera had numbered them in that way! Then when I was nearly done I suddenly received some more photos. I slotted them in the correct places by numbering them with ABC etc. Simon asked if it really mattered? It does to me! So I began a massive renumber beginning with 000!
In the last few days I have received even more but no way could I begin over. This has taken me hours. So... I have slotted in about 60 or so photos using ABC etc to get them in roughly the right place! I don’t guarantee that every photo is in the exact right place but when you watch them as a slide show they are more or less in the right order of the day’s events. There are about 730 photos and although many look the same I have tried hard to ensure that they are different even if only slightly. I have done this for Verity and Steve so that they will be able to have a CD of all the photos.
As there are so many I can’t put them all here and I am sure you would all be bored witless so I shall divide the day into several blogs and post an album to go with each blog if that makes sense. I hope you all enjoy the photos. You have been asking me about them for long enough. Please make sure that you pay due respect to the 200 metres of bunting which you will see outside and inside the marquee!!!!!!
Time to get on with that first blog!
